This has played an important role in the industry for many years. However, the software had to be technically and functionally improved in order to meet future requirements. The increasing pressure to modernize required the manufacturer to have the courage to realign itself. The partnership now combines the strengths of two companies with experience in the industry. For customers, this means investment security, future-proofing and a sustainable solution. Gesys customers are offered an orderly and reliable transition to migrate to the modern ERP solution "ERPbos" from Softbauware. This will take place in many individual steps. "The transition will be a long-term process that ensures that existing Gesys customers are not only supported securely, but also with the best available resources," explains Stefan Zabicki, Managing Director of Gesys, based in Leutkirch in the Allgäu region.
Reachingyour destination with safety
In order to pave the way for greater convenience and a future-proof system, the new "GESYSbos" product line is available to all existing customers of the manufacturer with immediate effect. Gesys users can therefore switch to the new product without having to wait. Additional training courses as well as e-invoices and document management will then be available in the familiar user interface. Work is currently underway to identify possible functional gaps and close them immediately. Further functionalities will be added over time. The tools for data migration from the old software to "ERPbos" will be provided in three phases. At the same time, the course is being set to enable the migration of business processes to "ERPbos" from Softbauware. Master data, conditions and the company models are to be adapted by the end of the first quarter of 2025. A communication interface between "GESYSbos" and "ERPbos" will also be set up. The full migration functionality will be available in 2026.
Bright prospects for Gesys customers
The advantages of this strategic partnership for customers are manifold: Softbauware and Gesys can look back on more than 60 years of combined industry experience. In addition, Softbauware brings over 110 employees with extensive experience in software development and customer support to the partnership. This is a significant increase compared to the number of Gesys employees. In addition, both companies guarantee an organized transition from the old Gesys solution to "GESYSbos". The entire process will be accompanied by an experienced team that will ensure that customers experience no interruptions to their business processes.
The new technology platform covers all relevant legal and future-oriented topics. At the same time, the long-term further development of the software solutions is assured. Softbauware will offer continuous updates and improvements to meet the needs of customers in the rapidly changing market landscape. The new product line offers users a wide range of new functions and improvements. These include an improved user interface, enhanced functionalities such as the creation of e-invoices, optimized performance and improved customer service.
