Origin
Last year, Baufritz approached us with the request to set up a user meeting specifically for the prefabricated house industry. The aim was to bundle the diverse digitization potential in this industry and at the same time promote the exchange of experience between projects.
SOFTBAUWARE developed a suitable agenda and invited all its prefabricated house customers to this new format.
Objective
With this event, we wanted to provide impetus as to how certain concrete processes, including IFC connection, can also be made interesting for the prefabricated house industry. That's why we invited Progress to give a presentation alongside established CAD manufacturers (Sema, Dietrich's and hsbCAD) from the timber construction industry.
In addition, our customers enriched the event with their own presentations ("Best practices and concrete applications") and thus provided incentives for better use of our system.
We were particularly pleased with the open exchange during the companies' presentations. This is certainly not a matter of course in this highly competitive industry.
Supporting program
Special thanks go to Baufritz, who not only provided us with the location for the event, but also made an exciting factory tour possible. The competition was of course particularly pleased to be able to take a look behind the scenes.
As usual in Bavaria, there was also plenty of excellent food.
Conclusion
The first SOFTBAUWARE Connect - prefabricated house event showed how valuable the direct exchange within the industry is. Through practical insights, interesting presentations and personal dialog, numerous ideas and impulses for future projects were gained.
